HOW TO BECOME A CORPORATE MEMBER

CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION
 
  Eligibility for admission to National Precast Corporate Membership is in accordance with the Constitution of the National Precast Concrete Association Australia Limited and is based on the Board being satisfied that the following Certification criteria be met so as to uphold the standards and integrity of the Association:

    1.  Wholly or partly engaged in production of factory precast concrete for minimum of 2 years.

    2.  Adequacy of facilities appropriate for the product range marketed.

    3.  Financial stability based on independent assessment and provision of 3 satisfactory credit references.

    4.  Commitment to service and resources utilising quality assurance methods and systems which meet customers requirements.

    5.  OHS systems which are compliant with all levels of Government legislations.

    6.  Technical and engineering competence to provide service ranging from advice , basic shop drawings, etc. on simpler projects to feasibility and engineering design on complex projects.

    7.  Legal and environmental permits compliance. 

For criteria (3) to (7) above, the Board has determined minimum ratings which are required to be achieved as part of the precertification procedure.These are listed below in Table 1.

Admission to full membership is conditional on the following:

  • It is mandatory to satisfy criteria (1) and (2).
  • Scoring the minimum acceptable points rating in each of the Table 1 categories.
  • Scoring a minimum aggregate points tally of 24 to 50 points for all the Table 1 categories.

SCHEDULE OF FEES
 
  Corporate Member Fees are based on Member’s previous financial year’s gross $ ex-works sales volume as per scale hereunder. Note that ex-works sales excludes cartage and erection.

National Precast is currently offering reduced membership fees for new Corporate Members’ first and second years of membership, with a 50% reduction applicable to the first year and a 25% reduction applicable to the second year (with full fees payable from the third year onwards). The fees below should be calculated and then reduced accordingly.

At the beginning of the fiscal year (July), current Corporate Members and Corporate Member applicants shall provide to National Precast, a return of the company’s previous fiscal year’s annual ex-works precast turnover signed for by a Chartered Accountant (Turnover Declaration). This information will be treated by the National Precast as STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL and will be used only by the Executive Officer for the purpose of calculating annual subscriptions in accordance with the formula above.

* Corporate Members whose annual turnover is over $30,800,009 AND who will be paying the capped fee, need not declare their actual turnover and should indicate that they will be paying the capped fee on the Turnover Declaration.

Note: New Corporate Members who are accepted into the Association after 1 July will be entitled to a prorata fee based on the remaining months in the year applied to the previous year’s certified turnover. However, the minimum payment will be $2,000.
