Girotto Precast began as a family business, founded in 1987 in Melbourne. Its first manufacturing plant was built in Dandenong and has been in continuous operation since.

In 1997, a second manufacturing facility was built in Prestons, NSW that expanded the company's business by 100%. Girotto Precast quickly established itself as one of the market leaders in the manufacture of precast concrete panels in both states, with an enviable reputation for excellence in product quality and customer service.

In October 2005 the company expanded further north into Queensland, at the Brisbane suburb of Virginia. All our facilities are fully equipped with the most up to date machinery and equipment.

In October 2004, Boral acquired a 50% interest in Girotto Precast and later in 2006 a further 30% interest. The purpose of joining forces with Boral was to strengthen the company so as to stay a step ahead of the competition and create opportunities for growth. The values of Girotto Precast and Boral are closely aligned thus creating a strong foundation for growth and success.

In 2008 Boral acquired the remaining interest in Girotto Precast and the company is now 100% owned by Boral and is a part of Boral Precast.

Our attention to detail, service and quality provided to our existing customers during our expansion into the Sydney market was a test for our changing Management system. One of the strengths of our new Management system is the ability to react accurately and positively to a customers changing needs, while offering minimum lead times and the quality expected of us.
